Oregon native Nancy Coffelt is a self-taught artist.  She works primarily in oil pastel on black paper creating vivid images full of energy and humor.  Nancy has written and illustrated Good Night Sigmund, Dogs in Space, Tom's Fish, The Dog Who Cried Woof, and Dogs in Space The Great Space Doghouse, What's Cookin'? A Happy Birthday Counting Book from Chronicle Books and coming soon, Fred Stays With Me published by Little & Brown.  Nancy's designs have been used by a variety of clients, including Starbucks, The Nature Company, Second Nature Software, Harcourt, Mud Puppy Press, Gango Editions, The Canvas Company, and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.  In addition, her work is shown in galleries nationwide, and carmen's is proud to be one of them.
