March 27.."A Taste of Tremler"!  In conjunction with "A Taste of Solomons", we are planning a display of new, original paintings by artist Yuri Tremler.  We've seen them in their early stages and they are absolutely stunning!  The event is from 11 am - 3 pm, but we'll be here all weekend with Tremler's new work.  Please stop in and see what we have to offer!

Judging the event....We are very fortunate this year to have a judge for the plein air event as qualified and well rounded as Carolyn Egeli.  She comes from a family of artists.  In fact, Carolyn is the youngest of 5 siblings and her 4 older siblings are also successful artists. Her father, Bjorn Egeli, was a renowned portrait painter and took Carolyn to many of his "sittings" from the time she was a little girl.  Carolyn remembers, as a child, coloring in the chambers of the Supreme Court while waiting for her father to finish his portraits.  Apparently, Carolyn was born to paint!

carmen's gallery will host a show and sale of Egeli's work on Saturday evening, May 15.  The time will be announced closer to the event, but mark your calendars.  This doesn't happen often!  We are thrilled to be able to sponsor this exhibition during the plein air event.  It is open to the public, so please come and bring your friends.  Chat with the artist and consider adding an Egeli to your collection!

Participating artists.... Well, we know that Wesley James Drake is coming back!  Yes, our favorite Chicago artist will be here painting in the event.  We are just starting to take registrations, so if you're an artist who would like to participate, go online to the Solomons Business Association's website and register!

Speaking of gallery exhibitions....The snow prevailed on the one we had planned for Miguel Arias

	MIGUEL ARIAS from Peru!  We had hoped to host a show for this exciting artist.  However, the cold climate is preventing that!  Miguel is sending us some new work and we are hoping to schedule him later in the year at a time when he can actually enjoy our little paradise here in Solomons.  More to come!

Donn Hedman, potter and artist, has been talking to us about doing a show of his pottery here this spring.  We will get you details as soon as the logistics are worked out.  Another not to miss show in the works!

Solomons Annual Christmas Walk and Boat Parade of Lights....The first weekend in December
