"Artist of the Season" feature is new at the gallery.  We feature one artist each season and hope that you can get to know the artist through his paintings as well as some biographical and anecdotal information we give you.  Our first artist to receive an invitation to show a special collection of his work is Tim Kelly.  Kelly arrived today with a wonderful, seasonal collection of statuary paintings.  This is a bit of a diversion from his interior vignettes.  We'll show a couple of examples here, but you must come in and see the collection.  This is one rare talent!  Tim Kelly, an artist from Baltimore, won "Best of Show" AND "Grand Prize" in the Quick Draw Competition at this year's Solomons Plein Air Festival.  (By the way, we still have his interiors in the gallery as well.  They are small, intimate glimpses of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the artist.

carmen's gallery offers painting workshops
We have had 4 very successful workshops and are planning others. Bethanne Kinsella Cople, (oil painting),  Bobbi Pratte (watercolor), and Joyce McCarten (abstract mixed media) have all expressed interest in teaching workshops through the gallery.  Let us know your interests and we'll keep you updated on the scheduled classes.

MARIUS!  Many beautiful oil paintings are now in the gallery on display.  The prices are 25% less than he commands in Europe because he wants to get a start here in the U.S.  It won't get better than this!
